Holistic Acne Care
Acne, which is also referred as pimples, blackheads, or
zits, are considered man's greatest foe. Even if you do not
have an oily skin, you can be surprised when you wake up one
morning and see an ugly-looking pimple or a blemish in your
face. Its protruding appearance can ruin your date, your job
interview, or worst, it can destroy your self-confidence.
Pimples can be severe or mild, depending on the factors that
cause it. If you are already facing this kind of dilemma, it
is better to have a holistic acne care approach so as not to
worsen the problem. Many are tempted to pop the pimples
bulging in their faces, thinking that it will make the ugly
blemishes disappear. Unfortunately, pimple popping can only
cause scarring. If you try to pop pimples, the skin gets
irritated and the acne problem can get worse. However, there
is a better way to do it if you're really itching to pop
those bumps. You can try using warm water to wash your face
and make sure that your nails and hands are both clean to
pop pimples out.
If you are suffering from severe acne troubles, it is best
to consult a dermatologist to get a medication that will
help reduce outbreaks and scarring. Dermatologists usually
prescribe products that contain 25 percent of benzoyl
peroxide, which is the most effective agent in pimple
treatment. Benzoyl peroxide can treat mild and moderate acne
as long as it is combined with regular skin cleansing. Also,
some antibiotics and creams like Retin-A are often included
in medications for severe acne cases. But the best and
safest way to have a holistic care for acne is to have the
right diet and keeping the skin healthy and clean.
